I&#039;m glad you&#039;re interested in the citizen science that SDSS enables. I agree that is one of the best parts of the experiment. 

You can look forward to a new crop of public galactic data also coming from the Dark Energy Survey. The survey should start up with first light this October. Data will be come public one year after it is collected, giving scientists time to remove technical flaws in the data and combine the overlapping images to present the best, most clear images to the public.
