DM (and DE) is part of the standard cosmology, and that hasn’t been rejected. Moreover, there are plenty of independent indirect tests for DM; it passes.

Xenon results basically closed the WIMPs. Right now the most promising area is excluded. Even if your will find something in the non-excluded yet area it will cause more problems than solve issues… IMO, story with dark matter/energy is over. Let’s move on to check the next possible explanation.
