I believe it is imperative for science to actively engage the public at all levels. The future of this country,and the world, lies in imagination expressed in rational ways . Certainly this is being challenged in the US, much to my dismay. As science moves into subtler and subtler areas it is even more important to bridge the gap between scientific and non-scientific understanding.. Thank you for all you do in this regard.
