It also predicts 3 sterile neutrinos -- Weyl spinors with no SM quantum numbers. Unlike all other fermions, only these RH Weyl spinor partners to the active, LH Weyl spinor neutrinos can have their own Majorana mass as well as a Dirac mass coupling them to the LH actives. For 35 years, since the discovery of the see-saw mechanism, the only problem has been to determine the values of the parameters -- NOT &quot;adding&quot; new states.]]></description>
