I am a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, stationed at CERN for work on the CMS experiment. I took the long way around into experimental physics, but am pretty happily entrenched in the world of data analysis as of this date. I am also involved in studies of the CMS trigger system from a physics standpoint, and will likely become involved in tracker upgrades R&D in the near future. Other than biking, I am as un-athletic as is possible for a person to be (and still be alive) — much more inclined to paint mountains than climb them.
